BEIJING, June 25 (Xinhua) — The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China:

LUNAR SAMPLES

The returner of the Chang’e-6 probe touched down on Earth on Tuesday, bringing back the world’s first samples collected from the moon’s far side.

The return capsule landed precisely in the designated area in Siziwang Banner, north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the mission is a complete success, according to the China National Space Administration.

BUSINESS DIGITALIZATION LEVEL

The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Tuesday that the digitalization level in China’s business sectors has continued to improve this year.

According to the MOC, China’s e-commerce activities since the beginning of the year have played a positive role in promoting consumption recovery and expanding international economic and trade cooperation.

ICEBREAKER RESEARCH VESSEL

China’s independently designed and built icebreaker research vessel, Jidi, was officially delivered in south China’s city of Guangzhou on Monday.

The vessel was manufactured by Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Limited, and can navigate the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea in winter for monitoring and surveying the marine environment in ice-covered areas. It is able to provide ice-zone rescue, and has the capability to conduct scientific research in polar regions during summer.
