Giovanni Pernice’s girlfriend Molly Brown thinks the accusations that he is difficult to work with on Strictly Come Dancing are ‘bizarre’ and is ‘quite angry about it’.
The professional dancer, 33, has been locked in a feud with his ex celebrity partner Amanada Abbington who was reportedly left with PTSD after her time on Strictly.
It was reported that Amanda joined the Italian’s other former partners Ranvir Singh and Laura Whitmore for an ‘emotional summit’ to ‘compare notes’ about their time working with him.
The dancer also reportedly left Step’s Faye Tozer, 48, in tears after a heated clash backstage on spin-off show It Takes Two in 2018.
Giovanni has been relying on Molly during the ordeal. A source told MailOnline: ‘Gio has been through an horrific few months but Molly has been an absolute rock the whole time.

‘She’s told friends how bizarre she thinks the stuff is that Gio’s been accused of because it doesn’t tally with the person she knows.
‘Like many of his mates, she’s been left quite angry about it and thinks those throwing around claims should either make a complaint or stop causing trouble.
The insider added that Molly and Giovanni’s romance is progressing quickly and he has told friends what a support she has been to him.
They added: ‘Molly and Gio have grown incredibly close very quickly. He’s on the road a lot and she knows all about his previous reputation. But she doesn’t care and is very happy in the relationship.
‘She’s been a huge support to Gio over the last few months and he’s been very open with his friends about how important that has been. He’s not sure he’d coped without having her around.’
It was previously reported that Giovanni would be meeting Strictly’s top brass and that the broadcaster was backing the dancer after not receiving any offical complaints against him.
A source close to Amanda, Ranvir and Amanda told MailOnline: ‘They are very unhappy with the way the BBC are handling this.’
The insider continued: ‘It’s one thing saying they are standing by him, but they feel as if Giovanni is being promoted and pushed centre stage in a bid to make them go away and keep quiet. It’s a kick in the teeth.

‘One of the reasons they wanted to meet up was to try and work on a way forward because they have no intention of just backing down and letting this just fade away.
‘All three have been impacted in different ways by what happened and they’ve agreed to speak again about how best they can get something done about it because they are genuinely worried about want went on and the fact someone else could end up experiencing what they went through.
‘But right now there’s a feeling that Gio is pretty much untouchable – especially given he is so close to Anton who thinks the world of him and can’t believe the stuff he’s been hearing claimed about his mate.’
The BBC have since shown their support for Giovanni by plugging his new prime time show with Anton Du Beke.
It comes after Giovanni wished his ‘beautiful’ girlfriend a happy birthday on Thursday after the couple rekindled their romance.
They pair proved they were still going strong after recently being hit by rumours they had split.
In the photo, Giovanni and Molly looked as loved-up as ever with the dancer wrapping an arm around his girlfriend while looking at her lovingly.
‘Happy bday to my beautiful! TMABWAW I love you!’ he captioned the post.
Giovanni recently denied that he’s engaged to Molly after she was pictured wearing a gold band.
Just a month after it was reported that they’d ended their short-lived romance, the Strictly star was spotted with the model leaving his show at the London Palladium.
In pictures obtained by The Mirror, Molly sported a gold band on her ring finger as she and Giovanni headed home together, sparking rumours they could be engaged.
However, a representative for Giovanni has told MailOnline that this is not the case.
Last month it was reported the couple had ended their short-lived romance after just three weeks together.
The Italian dancer went Instagram official with the model in February but MailOnline revealed just weeks later that they had unfollowed each other, with Molly deleting a snap alongside Giovanni from her grid.

The pair first sparked romance speculation after they were believed to have been on numerous dates, with the aim to ‘keep things quiet’ at the time.
A source told The Mirror at the time: ‘Giovanni and Molly met a few weeks ago, and though it is very early days, things seem to be going well between them’.
‘He has been keeping things quiet because he didn’t want too much pressure on as they’re getting to know each other’.
While little is known about the model, she regularly shares stunning snaps of her lavish lifestyle and exotic holidays to social media.
Giovanni as previously dated a host of gorgeous stars including Love Island’s Maura Higgins, TOWIE’s Jess Wright and his former Strictly partner Georgia May Foote.
He was most recently linked to Strictly co-star Jowita Przystal, before reportedly splitting in March 2023 after three months due to their ‘hectic work schedules’.
