Hibernian have sacked head coach Nick Montgomery after eight months in charge.

In addition, assistant coaches Sergio Raimundo and Miguel Miranda have also left with immediate effect.

Hibs lost 4-0 at home to Aberdeen on Sunday, leaving them ninth in the league table with two games remaining.

Montgomery oversaw 12 wins, 12 draws, and 13 defeats during his eight months in charge.

In a statement on Tuesday morning, the Scottish Premiership side confirmed that David Gray will take charge for the remainder of the campaign.

Hibs host Motherwell at home on Wednesday evening.
