Laos to build new museum to boost tourism

VIENTIANE, June 30 (Xinhua) — Laos is building the largest museum in the country, which will bring together 10,000 rare wood products, artworks, and ancient artifacts, which is expected to become an interesting tourist attraction for both domestic and foreign tourists.

The construction of the Vientiane Museum of Contemporary Arts is expected to be finished in 2024, with the hope that it will become a new and important tourist spot in the Lao capital, Lao National Radio reported on Sunday.

The Vientiane Museum of Contemporary Arts is located in Xaythany district in Vientiane. The construction started in 2021 and the project has a budget of more than 50 million U.S. dollars.
