Now inspiring other designers, catwalks are embracing the tennis look.

Miu Miu’s SS24 collection feature polo shirts and matching skirts, while Lacoste’s AW24 designs paid homage to the classic tennis uniform of pleated skirts and dresses in and greens.

Of course, the High Street has taken note. Athleisure brands such as Sporty & Rich and Varley are offering elevated takes on tennis-core, while Mango’s new tennis club collection includes logo cardigans and caps.

The actress also featured on the cover of Vogue for this month’s issue with her outfits for the photoshoots coming to a total of £16,662.

On April 19 she recreated the same look first worn by sisters Venus and Serna Williams in Vogue’s May 1998 issue, a £7,165 Caroline Herrera black and white gown.

Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach has been praised for his work with the actress this year but the two have been working together since she was aged 14 and starring on Disney Channel.

The stylist also dressed her for her Dune premiers earlier in the year for which the pair went viral again after Zendaya came dressed in a Thierry Mugler robot suit.

Speaking to Vogue in February Mr Roach said: ‘We adopted method dressing, the looks served as an extension of the wardrobe from the movie. It was intentional and purposeful.

‘We don’t borrow from vintage dealers – we buy.

‘It’s important to support smaller businesses.’

Mr Roach and Zendaya are now said to be good friends, such good friends that he has also dressed her boyfriend Tom Holland, 27, for some of his premieres.

For Holland’s premier of Unchartered in February 2022, Mr Roach styled him with Paul Smith.

And for the Spider Man premieres, where the pair both met on set in 2021, Roach styled them both.

Now worth £18 million, Zendaya’s new film, in which she produced and stars in, has been named by critics as her ‘coming of age film’.

Usually known for playing teenage girls, Challengers includes racier scenes with her playing a wife and tennis professional stuck in a love triangle with two other tennis players.

Now said to the be the ‘style icon’ of a generation and the red carpet, many can expect to see tennis themed outfits becoming a hit this summer.
